“In August 1989, I began two important chapters of my life: marrying my wife Angie and starting my career at Steel and Pipe Supply. I started on second shift, hand-pulling steel orders, and over the past 35 years, I’ve worked on various shifts, supervised multiple teams, and even helped with inventory at the Longview warehouse after its acquisition. Steel and Pipe has provided me with stability and leadership, allowing my wife to stay home with our children and giving my daughters the opportunity to attend college through the company’s scholarships. The company’s health benefits have supported us through life’s challenges, including my daughter’s heart surgery in 1997 and my wife’s brain surgery in 2022.

As I reflect on these 35 years, I’m grateful for the mentorship and support from colleagues like Ed, Donnie, Larry, and Russ, as well as the leadership team in Manhattan. Their guidance has helped me grow from a young man hand-pulling steel to a first-shift supervisor with a loving family, including four grown daughters and seven grandchildren. Steel and Pipe Supply has truly been an incredible journey that I continue to cherish. “
