Growth into Kansas City was necessary because a lot of our business was being swallowed up by big companies in the metropolitan areas and most of our business had shifted from rural Kansas to the metropolitan areas as well.  Kansas City was the first warehouse we opened that was built from the ground up.  Construction started September 17, 1994 and opened April 1, 1995 and has since served as one of Steel and Pipe Supply’s largest and most successful warehouses.
